Who this policy covers

This policy explains how Realest Name Generator handles information when you use our website and contact our support team. For privacy questions or requests, email support@realestnamegenerator.com.

No account required. The website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it. Saved ideas and worlds stay in your browser unless you choose to export or share them.

Website analytics

Google Analytics receives information about visits and interactions, such as page addresses, referring pages, and browser and device information. It may use cookies to distinguish visits. Google processes this information under its privacy policy. You can block analytics requests or manage cookies through your browser settings.

Information used when you generate

For tools that use the server, we receive the preferences and text you submit, such as a name, theme, writing prompt, or refinement. We use these inputs to produce the requested result. The application does not archive your prompts or generated content in its database, and does not send them to an external AI generation service.

Recent name exclusions and writing-history fingerprints may accompany requests to reduce repeated results. Avoid entering passwords, payment details, sensitive personal information, or confidential material.

Cookies and fair-use protection

Server-based generators use Cloudflare Turnstile to check for automated abuse. The widget sends browser and connection signals to Cloudflare, and our server verifies its short-lived token before processing a generation or popularity request. Your prompt and generated content are not included in that verification request.

A cookie named nc_visitor contains a randomly assigned, signed browser identifier and lasts for up to 30 days. It helps enforce usage limits and prevent abuse. It is not used for advertising or tracking you across websites.

The server also processes your connection’s IP address to create a protected identifier that changes each day. Daily usage counters store these derived identifiers rather than raw IP addresses. Limits apply to your browser and network; other people on shared Wi-Fi can affect your remaining allowance.

Counters reset at midnight UTC. Daily records become eligible for deletion 72 hours after the start of their UTC day and are removed by scheduled cleanup. A delayed cleanup can extend retention. You can delete or block cookies in your browser, although generation and fair-use checks may not work correctly.

Information stored on your device

  • Saved ideas: favorites, recent results, projects, notes, tags, ratings, comparison selections, and saved generation settings use local browser storage. Older saved data may remain as a recovery copy until you clear its collection.
  • Worldbuilder: worlds, cultures, naming rules, connections, and story notes are stored locally, separately from saved ideas. Worldbuilder generation runs in your browser.
  • Preferences: your light or dark theme choice is stored locally.
  • Session history: recent names, writing fingerprints, variation history, and restored generation settings may use session storage. The quote tool stores the full normalized text of displayed quotes in the tab’s session history to prevent repeats; that history is not sent to the server.

Local storage remains until you clear it or your browser removes it. Session storage normally ends when you close the tab, but a browser’s session-restore feature can preserve it. These collections do not sync to a website account.

Use the controls on Saved ideas and in Worldbuilder, reset recent history where available, or clear this website’s data in your browser. Exported files remain on your device until you delete them. Imports are processed in your browser; if you later reuse a saved idea’s settings in a server-based generator, those settings are sent with that request.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond, investigate problems, and handle your request. Support messages are kept only as needed for those purposes, resolving disputes, or meeting applicable legal obligations. You can ask us to delete a support conversation.

Service providers and disclosure

Hosting, security, and email providers may process information needed to deliver their services, including request metadata or support correspondence. Where the website is served through Cloudflare, Cloudflare processes network requests under its privacy policy. The application’s error logging is designed to exclude prompts, generated text, cookies, and raw IP addresses.

We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. Information may be disclosed when required by law, to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect the website and its users. Providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to applicable data-protection requirements.

Why we process information

We process information to provide the features you request, respond to support messages, and keep the service secure and available. Where a legal basis is required, we rely on providing the requested service, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting it, or compliance with legal obligations, as applicable.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of personal information, or to object to certain processing. Contact support@realestnamegenerator.com to make a request. We may need enough information to verify and locate the relevant records. We cannot retrieve saved ideas that exist only in your browser.

You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. Nothing in this policy limits rights provided by applicable law.

Children’s privacy and security

The website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it as appropriate.

We use safeguards intended to protect the information we handle, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Keep your device and exported backups secure, especially when using a shared browser.

Updates to this policy

We may update this policy as the website changes. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be explained on the website, with additional notice or consent where required.
